Hello, I need advice to be able to process the recordings and that they are with the least possible weight.
Can someone provide me with consulting services for this?
If you are using COMPOSED recording mode, then the recording size can be adjusted changing the resolution and the framerate of the recording.
By default from 2.18.0 COMPOSED recordings are started with HD resolution (1280x720) and 25 fps.
If you are using INDIVIDUAL recording, then the quality of the recorded files (and therefore their size) depends directly on the quality of the stream sent by the Publisher. OpenVidu just dumps to disk any packet received from the client without any kind of processing.
Of course, once you have your recorded file properly generated, you can apply any kind of post-processing tool to reduce the size of the files. But that falls outside of OpenVidu’s responsibility.
