High Availability of OpenVidu Pro Node

Are there any best practices for a highly available OpenVidu Pro cluster, specifically thinking about the single master OpenVidu Pro node?

e.g.

  • active/active Pro nodes
  • active/passive Pro node connected to the same cluster of media server nodes
  • multiple separate master-slave clusters - challenge of ensuring data is available to both clusters for sessions to resume on failure

I can see a previous question on high availability went unanswered in Feb, so am I right to say it doesn’t support high availability?

Technically there is no “High availabilty” for OpenVidu Pro Master Node at the moment. The unique way to do that is to create an app that handles different OpenVidu Pro clusters.

We plan to provide it in Q4, but at the moment is not available.

Thanks for confirming, this is a really important feature for enterprise adoption so I look forward to this coming later in the year!
