We are inspecting openvidu pro for our software service project. (it may be big project)
We read all the website but we have some questions:
Q1. For ex: 1 session with 100 publishers. Is openvidu capable of that load? If yes, what is the server specs for that load? (cpu core, ram, bandwidth)
Q2. when machine idle (no any video conference at all), hourly pricing applying even so?
Q3. Can we make scalability on our own (no name) VPS servers?
Q4. For Ex. One server with 32 core cpu, when cores are not used by openvidu(very low demand), is pricing counting for all 32 cores?
Q5. If we want a special feature on openvidu call app, do you give software development support for this? If yes, how is pricing?
Q6. If we buy pro, who makes the vps installation process?
Q7. What is the most efficient publisher number per session?
It is not possible right now. The limitation is in the browser. A browser is not capable to play 100 streams at the same time. We are working on a feature so only the last few speaking participants are sent to the other participant’s browser. In that way, you will be able to manage a session with 100 publishers. We plan to have this feature at the end of the year.
Yes. You can turn off the platform if you don’t want to be charged when idle.
Yes.
Yes. All 32 cores are counted. You can deploy several VMs in that big machine and deploy the master node in 2 cores and several media nodes with 4 cores each and enable or disable media nodes on demand.
Yes. We can add custom features. Please contact us for details to the email commercial@openvidu.io
You following the documentation in the web page.
I don’t understand the question. You can have a session with 20 publishers if the participants are connected with a modern PC so the browser can play all the videos.
