Rear Camera Issue on Mobile Devices Post System Upgrade

Dear @pabloFuente , @cruizba

We are currently facing an issue with the rear camera during our survey operations. Specifically, in some cases, the rear camera not open on mobile devices. At this point, we are unsure whether the issue is related to specific Android versions or browser compatibility.

This problem started occurring after we upgraded to the following versions:

  • Node.js: 20.18
  • Angular: 18
  • OpenVidu: 2.31

Could you please help us investigate and resolve this issue?

Looking forward to your support.

Thanks
Ravindra

It is challenging for us to diagnose the issue with the limited information provided. To better assist you, could you try the following steps?

  1. Replication: Is there a way to replicate the issue? If you have a device where the problem occurs, please attempt the following:

  2. Device Functionality Test: On a device where the issue is present, visit this website to check if the camera devices are functioning correctly: WebRTC Input-Output Test.

  3. OpenVidu Tutorial: Try to replicate the issue using a OpenVidu v2 tutorial.

  4. Issue Identification: If the problem is related to OpenVidu, we require a method to reproduce it in order to provide support. If the issue resides within your codebase, focus on identifying the specific Android devices where this occurs and try to replicate the problem.
