We are currently in AWS, however, we are being asked to look into supporting Azure as our host environment.
Many of the enterprise features look like they would work on Azure as an on-premise installation. One that doesn’t look like it would, and is one of the most important to us, is high availability and auto-scaling.
Are there plans to fully support Azure in a future release?
We are evaluating to support Azure cloud platform support out of the box in OpenVidu. Also, we are evaluating to support Kubernetes.
In any case, until the support is officially here, you can get auto-scaling support deploying OpenVidu with the “on-premises” procedure and handling the scaling web-hooks creating or deleting Azure instances.
High availability is very tight to AWS, so it is not easy to deploy on Azure.
