Consultation on the latest PRO version of OpenVidu supporting maximum video conferencing

May I ask if the latest version of OpenVidu PRO can support a maximum of 50 people in a video conference and a video resolution of 1080P? If so, what are the requirements for the supporting servers (kernel, Linux version, etc.), bandwidth, and streaming media, how are they charged, and technical support!

Hello,

OpenVidu PRO can support a maximum of 50 people in a video conference and a video resolution of 1080P?

Are you talking about an NxN room? 50x50 participants, each one publishing a 1080p and receiving 49 1080p at the same time, looks hard. But OpenVidu v3 supports dynacast, so, if only one video is showing at the same time, then it should work. If you are talking about 1x50 (1 publisher with 1080p video and 50 subscribers not publishing), then you should have no issue.

If so, what are the requirements for the supporting servers (kernel, Linux version, etc.), bandwidth, and streaming media; how are they charged; and what about technical support!

  • Linux: Debian, Ubuntu, or Fedora with SystemD. But any Linux distribution with Systemd, Docker, and Docker Compose installed should work.

  • Bandwidth: High bandwidth is always recommended.

  • You can see the pricings here. You pay by cores. If your cluster has, for example, 1 Master Node with 4 CPUs and 2 Media Nodes with 2 CPUs, you will pay:
    8 CPUs * $0.0006 per minute = $0.0048 per minute = $0.28 per hour
