For years I have been testing at least half a dozen other OSS systems without luck, either due to flawed installation instructions, lacking functionality or unstable and unsupported systems.

My requirements were: self-hosting, recording, simple and well-specified NAT/FW setup and recording of both/all participants.

Until presently I had never heard of openVidu, but an AI search mentioned it, at it took only a couple of hours to have a running system.
