Inquiry on OpenVidu Virtual Background and React Native Support

Hello OpenVidu Support,

We are considering migrating our video calling platform from FreeSWITCH to OpenVidu, as we require both video background change options and React Native SDK support.

I have reviewed the OpenVidu documentation and noticed that to meet our requirements, we would need to utilize paid modules. The Virtual Background feature, available in the PRO version as of v2 documentation, is currently in beta and will be free until General Availability (GA). After the GA release, it will be billed at $0.0006 per core per minute for the OpenVidu PRO cluster.

Additionally, it appears that React Native support is also part of the paid features:

Could you provide further details on these paid options and any potential alternatives or plans for these features in OpenVidu Community?

I recommend you to use OpenVidu v3, the documentation you are refering is v2.

As OpenVidu is based on LiveKit with some additional features, you can use LiveKit SDKs for your use case with React Native and Virtual Background.
