# Speech to text OV 2.0

Hello,

I want to use [Speech to Text with OpenVidu 2.0](https://docs.openvidu.io/en/stable/advanced-features/speech-to-text/#:~:text=How%20does%20Speech%20To%20Text%20work%20%F0%9F%94%97,of%20Streams%20that%20have%20audio.).

I’m currently using OV 2.0 Community Edition on Premises. I want to add Speech to Text functionality to it. I want to keep v. 2.0.

Clicking on Pricing leads to OV 3.0 where it says that PRO edition is free while in beta. But I don’t want to use OV 3.0, because it will require a lot of migration work. I just want to add Speech to Text to the existing solution. How can I do it, and either PRO OV 2.0 is Free or Paid now and how I can activate it?

Hello Mike,

OpenVidu 2 is still perfectly functional and won’t be discontinued. Of course you can upgrade to PRO in version 2.30.0 to enble Speech To Text.  
Pricing in v2 remains the same as always ($0.0006 minute/core in PRO and $0.0018 minute/core in ENTERPRISE), and it is enabled. The free beta period only affects OpenVidu v3 (which has actually been released in General Availability just now).
