# API error help (java.lang.NullPointerException)

I don’t mean to revive this old thread but I have the same issue as you.  
You mentioned in [https://openvidu.discourse.group/t/joinroom-message-question/3826](https://openvidu.discourse.group/t/joinroom-message-question/3826) that you found a solution for this error. Would you mind sharing it here?
